Silver Rock Resort in La Quinta

Many people flock to La Quinta throughout the year for sunshine, outdoor activities, mountain views, and proximity to various amenities. Still, one of those should be Silver Rock Resort in La Quinta, CA. Check out this article from a chiropractor in La Quinta!

Golfing

Technically this is a public golf course, but the quality is better than many private courses throughout the country, which is why it was part of the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Classic from 2008 to 2011.

The majority of golfers recommend this course as well! This course offers year-round golfing, with excellent rates in the offseason. Architects include Arnold Palmer and Erik Larsen. If you are a La Quinta resident, you are eligible for special rates with a special resident card you can enroll for at La Quinta city hall. This card will allow you to get discounted golf rates for 3-years with one card purchase.

Many seasonal homeowners enjoy this perk because they can golf at a discounted rate without paying for a monthly private club membership. The only drawback is that the pace is slower than a private club to accommodate many golfers who play daily throughout the year.

Course policies are similar to many other courses, and they include a 30-minute check-in before their assigned tee time. All play begins with the number one tee only, and you can find the starter in the golf shop.

Dress code includes proper golf attire for course play and practice. That means there are no swimsuits, bathing attire, cut-offs, denim jeans, short shorts, halter tops, tank tops, running clothes, and other casual non-golf clothing. Men's shirts must have a collar and sleeves with golf pants or golf shorts.

To ensure a proper pace, all golfers must use golf carts, with the driver of 16 years of age or older. Any snacks, food, or drinks must also be purchased from the resort with no personal coolers allowed on the property.

Restaurants

When you are finished your round of golf in La Quinta, you can enjoy a meal or snack at the Silver Rock Grill, which offers food, cocktails, refreshments, and excellent mountain views. You rarely have an obstructed view from clouds since the sun is shining almost every day.

Although many people would say that this golf course nestled near the mountains in La Quinta was already perfect, the city decided to bring the area up to the next level when they lured in the luxury Montage hotel and spa. There will be the addition of a new golf clubhouse with a luxury Ahmanson Ranch House themed restaurant.

The goal for this is to attract large groups and others looking for a truly luxurious vacation again, reaffirming La Quinta as the real Gem of the Desert.
